Madres maravilla de PBO
The Madres Maravilla program was created to empower single mothers in the community, especially those linked to the tourism sector who lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this initiative, we seek to provide them with tools and opportunities that allow them to generate income, strengthen their economic independence, and improve the quality of life for their families.
Currently, Madres Maravilla directly impacts 167 single mothers from Hogar del Niño and their 501 sons and daughters, who live in conditions of extreme vulnerability. Each week, participants meet in person or virtually, where they have access to activities, materials, and resources designed to foster their personal and professional growth. Beyond individual support, the program promotes a model of co-responsibility, in which each mother contributes to the well-being of her peers, generating shared value that strengthens the entire community. Throughout this process, they are guided by a team of human resources experts who accompany them in their evolution.
Our mission is to reaffirm the role of each mother as a fundamental pillar in her community, providing them with the skills and motivation necessary to become productive and self-sufficient members. In addition, the program trains them to make informed and conscious decisions, strengthening their knowledge of their rights, skills, and interests. At Madres Maravilla, we believe in the power of education, sisterhood, and resilience to transform lives and build a more stable and hopeful future.
